Born a native Atlantan Pam Martin grew up in North Atlanta. After graduation Pam faced tough questions on which direction to go with her life, but her desire to serve other soon asserted itself and Pam found herself in the insurance industry where she spent the next 25 years in claims, customer service and sales. Pam found her work very fulfilling because her primary job was helping others to untangle and understand their needs then working toward accomplishing the goals of her clients.
This is a trait that Mrs. Martin carried over into the real estate industry after she retired from insurance. Her desire to serve others has led Pam down a tough educational road which included attending several very intensive training seminars. In her desire to offer her clients the best possible service by maintaining her knowledge and sales skills on the cutting edge, Pam makes it a point to always attend as many continuing education classes over and beyond what is required of her.
Pam’s desire to serve carries over into her personal life as well as the people she touches every day in her work described in activities. She has performed in several Christmas church plays performing in a role and singing. Being a room mom, soccer mom, dugout Mom, PTA, she still had time to serve in other areas. She loves football and served on the boards for middle school and high school level 2005-2010 and ran the concession stand successfully for 3 years as a fundraiser for her team. Pam retired from the board her son’s senior year to watch the games but stayed on to be affectionately called Momma Martin feeding the football team, coaches and officials for 2 years before every game making sure they had everything they needed to perform well for the Friday Night Lights. They will truly miss her banana bread she made every week for them.
Since then Pam volunteers her time from hospitality events at her church to baking cookies and printing photo cards for the “Treat the Troops Southern Style” organization. They mail treats “from home” to soldiers all around the globe four times a year along with magazines, candy, toiletries and cards of appreciation and encouragement. With her husband, father and other family members being veterans this organization is near and dear to her heart.
